There are 2 ways to qualify for Pokémon Regional League 2023-24 Hong Kong English Vol.3

1. Pre-registration

2. Top placing players in Pokémon Town League 2023 – 24 events

• You must know the rules of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and be able to play without outside help
• You must be a resident of the country or region where the event is being held

【Important: Cards from ‘Scarlet & Violet – Temporal Forces’ releasing on March 22 won’t be legal for play in the Pokémon Regional League 2023-24 Hong Kong English Vol.3】

For major official events such as the Pokémon Regional League 2023-24 Hong Kong English Vol.3 competition, cards only become legal for play two weeks after their official release date. Since that two-weeks period will not have passed between the release of the ‘Scarlet & Violet – Temporal Forces’ expansion on March 22 and the Pokémon Regional League 2023-24 Hong Kong English Vol.3 competition being held on March 24, decks registered for that event cannot include cards from ‘Temporal Forces’.

【How to submit your deck list】

• Log into your Trainers Website account
• Go to ‘My Page’→ ‘Event Results’
• Choose ‘Pokémon Regional League 2023-24 Hong Kong English Vol.3’
• Submit the Deck Code for the Deck you wish to use at the event

【Important】

• Players who haven’t completed their deck list registration within the submission period will receive the following penalty:

Round 1 Loss

• If you didn’t submit your deck list within the submission period, make sure to register your deck list before the end of the event’s Check In time.
• Once submitted, players are not allowed to change their deck.
• Make sure your list does not include any illegal cards, which the Deck Construction tool will sometimes let you put in your deck list.
• Deck Checks will be performed throughout the event. If your deck does not match the list you’ve submitted, you will receive a Game Loss penalty for the next round.

• Tournament-legal deck
• Pokémon Coin
• Damage counters
• Poison marker, Burn marker, and VSTAR marker
• Spare card sleeves
• Proof of residency in the country or region where the event is taking place

• Only one application per person.
• Multiple applications, or registering in several countries or regions, may lead to penalties such as a ban from future events.

Participants must make sure to have checked all of the following rules documents:

• Advanced Players’ Rulebook
• Floor Rules
• Penalty Chart

You will need to scan the QR code displayed at the Check-in counter inside the venue to complete your check-in.

Any player using a picture of the QR code to check-in remotely risks a penalty from a Game Loss up to a disqualification.

In preparation for check-in on the day of the event, please make sure that:

• You know your Trainers Website login email address and password
• You bring a document to prove you reside in the region of the event

For Players who got a Regional League invite + Bye(s) from a Town League competition:

Players with one or more Byes must still check-in by the end of the check-in time and be present for the Player Meeting, same as all other players.

Any such player who is not checked in by the end of the dedicated time will be considered as being late, and they will get a Match Loss for the first round they were supposed to start playing from.

In that case, if that player wishes to keep playing in the tournament, they have until the end of Round 1 to go to the Check-in counter and fill a re-entry request. Note that if you are late and don’t submit a re-entry request, you will be disqualified from the tournament.

※ Concrete examples of which rounds Losses for tardiness get applied to:

For a player with 1 Bye: Round 1 gets counted as a Win, Round 2 as a Loss, then they start playing from Round 3.

For a player with 2 Byes: Rounds 1 and 2 get counted as Wins, Round 3 as a Loss, then they start playing from Round 4.

(Assuming they were late for check-in but submitted a re-entry request before the end of Round 1)

Before the event, please make sure you know your Trainers Website password and ensure that it is working correctly.

When you check-in on the day of the event, after scanning the QR code, you will need to log into your account.

If while trying to log in you input the wrong password 3 times, your account will get locked for 15 minutes for security reasons and you won’t be able to try logging in again for that duration.

If you don’t complete your check-in by the end of the dedicated check-in time because you weren’t able to log into your account, it will still be considered as tardiness and you will get a Round 1 Game Loss.

Please take the time, before the day of the event, to make sure you have no issues logging into your account.

Players who have not completed check-in by the end of the dedicated check-in time will get a Loss for that round.

Players who were late but still wish to participate in the competition must fill the re-entry form available at the event organiser desk, before the end of Round 1.

From Round 2 onwards, players who are not seated at their designated table and ready to start playing when the round starts will be considered as having lost the match and will not be able to play in the rest of the tournament.

・If the game is still ongoing, and time is called during the turn of the player who went first, the player who went second gets one extra turn.
If time is called during the turn of the player who went second, no extra turn gets added and the match ends at the end of the current turn.

* There is no Pokémon Checkup after the final turn of the game.

Players who wish to drop from the tournament must submit a Drop Request at the Judge Station.

If the match is still ongoing, and time is called during the turn of the player who went first, the player who went second gets one extra turn.
If time is called during the turn of the player who went second, no extra turn is added and the match ends at the end of the current turn.

* There is no Pokémon Checkup after the final turn of the game.

If there is no declared winner by the end of the allocated time (including the final turn of the player who went second), the match is resolved as follows:

【Case ①: When both players have 2 or fewer Prize cards remaining to take to win the game, and one player has fewer than the other】

The player with the fewest Prize cards remaining to take wins the match.

【Case ②: When both players have 2 or fewer Prize cards remaining to take to win the game, that number being the same for both players】

The game goes into Extra Time, and whichever player first satisfies a win condition or ends up with fewer Prize cards remaining to take wins the match.
In case of a draw, the winner will be decided through a one-prize Sudden Death game.

【Case ③: When both players have 3 or more Prize cards remaining to take】

The game goes into Extra Time, and whichever player first satisfies a win condition or ends up with 2 or fewer Prize cards remaining to take wins the match.
In case of a draw, the winner will be decided through a one-prize Sudden Death game.
