  • When are Prize cards used?
    Prize cards are used when a Pokémon gets Knocked Out. When a player Knocks Out an opponent's Pokémon, they take one (or sometimes several) of their Prize cards to put into their hand. Whoever draws all their Prize cards first wins the game.
  • What does this rule mean: "Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon"?
    Some Pokémon's attacks can deal damage to Benched Pokémon. In this case, the Benched Pokémon just takes the amount of damage written on the card, without taking into account its Weakness or its Resistance.

    Yes, you can. So long as you have the necessary Energy attached, and unless stated otherwise in a card effect, you may reuse an attack you used the previous turn.

    You should do as follows:1. After properly shuffling your deck, put it in its place on the top right of your field. 2. Draw 7 cards as your hand. 3. From your hand, put a Basic Pokémon in the Active position on the center of the field. 4. If you have more Basic Pokémon, you may put them onto your Bench, but you don't have to. 5. Set your Prize cards on the left side of your field. The number of Prize cards you need to set aside depends on the number of cards you have in your deck.

Once you do have a Basic Pokémon, set down your Prize cards, then your opponent can draw an extra card from their deck for each time you had to redraw a new hand.
