Regarding the use of English cards in events in Hong Kong and Macau from October 1st, 2024 onwards
Dear Trainers,
Thank you for your continuous support and participation in Pokémon TCG events.
On September 30, 2024, official tournaments and Gym events in Hong Kong and Macau that were available through the English-language version of the Pokémon TCG Trainers Website have been discontinued.
From October 1st, 2024 onwards, players participating in events in Hong Kong and Macau will be able to use either a deck of cards in Traditional Chinese, or a deck of cards in English. Note that a deck cannot include a mix of cards in both languages, and must contain either cards in Traditional Chinese only OR cards in English only (this also applies to Energy cards).
Players who reside in Hong Kong or Macau and who wish to participate in an event in these areas using English language cards should delete their account on the English-language Pokémon TCG Trainers Website, sign up for a new account on the Traditional Chinese language website (

), then register for the event through the Event Page (
https://asia.pokemon-card.com/hk/event/ ).
(Note that a player cannot have two accounts at the same time – you should delete your account before making a new one to avoid any penalties)
Furthermore, note that the player account features on English language version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Trainers Website are planned to be shut down on August 31, 2025.
Regarding deck submission for events, if you plan on using a deck of English language cards, when submitting your deck list please choose the corresponding cards in Traditional Chinese.
