Pokémon Trading Card Game: Sword & Shield—Lost Origin Expansion

Mark the Return of the Lost Zone Gameplay Mechanic Arriving September 9, 2022!

An ominous threat looms in the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Sword & Shield—Lost Origin. Your cards can now be cast into the Lost Zone, an abyss from which they cannot be recovered. Don’t worry too much, though—a clever player can use the Lost Zone to their advantage. This expansion also includes brand-new Radiant Pokémon, more Pokémon VSTAR and Pokémon V, and an enormous Pokémon VMAX. There are also 30 cards with special artwork in the Trainer Gallery subset. Take a look at some featured new cards that can be found in Sword & Shield—Lost Origin below!

Featured Card

Hisuian Zoroark Vstar

Giratina Vstar

Enamorus V

Radiant Gardevoir

In Sword & Shield—Lost Origin, the Lost Zone gameplay mechanic will make its return and is expected to shake up the Pokémon TCG metagame. The Lost Zone is similar to the discard pile, but players will not be able to recover these cards during gameplay. Lost Zone cards such as Giratina VSTAR will feature a shadowy aura emanating from the artwork. Furthermore, Sword & Shield—Lost Origin will be based on the popular Pokémon Legends: Arceus video game and feature more Hisuian Pokémon, including Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR and Hisuian Goodra VSTAR, as well as Radiant Pokémon such as Radiant Gardevoir. Radiant Pokémon feature Shiny Pokémon illustrated in etched artwork and tend to have a powerful Ability or attack. Sword & Shield—Lost Origin will be available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and other special collections, see some featured products below.
