Beginner’s Session

This event is perfect for those who want to try playing or want to learn how to play the Pokemon Card Game. You can learn how to play the Pokemon Card Game as you enjoy playing with event staff and other participants.

Time required: Around 30 minutes

This is for you if:

  • You want to learn how to play Pokémon TCG
  • You want to get used to playing Pokémon TCG

Novice Challenge (duration: 120 min)

Play a match using a Battle Academy.

You can play without having to make your own deck.

Learn tips to customize your deck using Booster Packs!

This is for you if:

  • You want to get used to Pokémon TCG matches
  • You want to play with people you don’t know
  • You want to learn how to make your own deck

How to Participate

  • Purchase 1 Battle Academy and 3 Booster Packs at the store hosting the event

Event Details

  • Everyone will open their Booster Packs!
  • Participants will play against each other (25 minutes x 3 matches)
  • There will be a lottery contest based on the number of wins!

Pokémon TCG Gym Battle (duration: 90 min)

Battle other players with your original deck.

Make some Pokémon TCG friends!

This is for you if:

  • You want to get used to Pokémon TCG matches
  • You want to play with people you don’t know and get better

  • Bring a 60 card deck that meets the format.
  • Contact the organizing store for details such as participation fee.

  • Ranks will be decided by match performance

New Expansion Battle

A Special Regulation Event held with the release of a new product. Using cards that are included in the designated product, construct a deck and take on a new world of battle!

Standard Regulation cards + 4 Pokemon cards that are included in the designated product.

This is for you if:

  • Get used to PokémonTCG matches
  • Level up by battling other players
  • Try out your own decks

How to participate

  • Bring a 60 card deck that follows the regulations
  • Contact respective stores about participation fees

  • Swiss round3 matches x 25 min

Build & Battle Box Pre-Release Battle

Build & Battle Box Pre-Release Battle

Discover and play the new TCG expansions up to two weeks before the set’s official release date! Construct a new deck in 30 minutes with the Build and Battle Box and test your deck building skills in a fun and casual environment!

This is for you if:

  • You wish to be the first few people to test and own the cards from a brand new expansion
  • Test out your understanding of building new decks
  • Level up by battling other players

How to Participate

Buy 1 Build & Battle Box from the store to participate

Format

  • Limited Format, 40 card Decks with 4 Prize cards
  • Matches are conducted in Best of 1 (BO1) Swiss Draw
  • Rounds are determined by number of participants
